Across the school, students are enthusiastic, demonstrate positive attitudes towards learning and are able to work well, independently or in groups. They make at least good progress in almost all key subjects and phases. However, their attainment in Post-16 is mostly only acceptable. In a wide range of activities, students communicate their learning clearly to their teachers and classmates. Critical thinking and problem-solving activities are common features of many lessons.

Students demonstrate very positive attitudes and enjoy supportive relationships between themselves and show courtesy to each other and to adults. They are aware of the importance of safe and healthy lifestyles, and they display a very positive work ethic. Students care for their school and seek ways to improve the environment. Classroom displays showcase evidence of projects which encourage environmental protection and sustainability efforts. Students across the school celebrate Islamic events like the Prophet’s Day, and promote Islamic values in assemblies.

Teachers effectively leverage their understanding of student learning processes to plan engaging educational environments, fostering effective learning. Their positive interactions with students enhance engagement and involvement in the learning process. The school's internal assessment systems are comprehensive and consistently applied, contributing significantly to informed teaching and learning practices. Assessment data is accurately analysed, and peer assessment is a common practice seen in lessons.

School leaders ensure that well-being is a very high priority for all stakeholders. Policies are well considered and detailed improvement plans are strong. Students feel valued, with a strong voice, and the restructured student council and board meetings produce impactful plans. Students feel very well cared for and they know how to ask for help if needed. Students are passionate about developing new initiatives for more support between year groups and additional extra-curricular programmes.

Leaders successfully enable an inclusive ethos across all phases which is reflected in strong policies and procedures for admissions and enrolments. Parent partnerships are very strong and parents speak highly of the detailed information they receive about their child. In many lessons, classroom support is effective for students of determination with appropriate differentiation in place. Strong assessment systems provide highly detailed information, and this leads to most students showing increasing confidence and self assurance.

The principal, together with senior and middle leadership teams, provide effective management and leadership of the school. This promotes a welcoming and a positive learning culture throughout their large school community. Parents are highly supportive of their school and the caring and safe learning environment which it creates for their children. Most aspects of the day-to-day management of the school are well organised and this contributes to a positive school atmosphere, and a safe environment for students and stakeholders.
