Children in Foundation Stage make a very positive start in their education. They make rapid progress from their starting points. External examinations and benchmark assessments show high achievement especially in English, mathematics and science in Key Stages 1 to 4. Student achievement in Arabic as a first language in Primary and Secondary is improving. Results in the developing post-16 section are also improving.

Student attitudes, behaviour and work ethics are supporting their learning in the classroom and other activities. Student understanding of Islamic values and Emirati culture are improving especially in Secondary and Post-16. Students have a well-developed understanding of conservation and sustainability. They participate in many projects of benefit to the wider community and take responsibility and volunteer for the many leadership roles available to them, including leading school assemblies.

Teachers demonstrate effective lesson planning with high expectations, fostering group discussions and in-depth thinking, focusing on critical thinking and real-life applications. There are notable improvements in secondary and post16 teaching. Assessment processes align closely with the curriculum, offering reliable measures of attainment and progress. The systematic gathering and triangulation of data, along with progress monitoring, are strong features. However, feedback to students to aid their learning could be enhanced.

The caring approach towards students is a strength of the school. Led by an effective team, the school prioritises well-being and has comprehensive policies and action plans in place. A new curriculum is being developed. Personal development is a priority, evident in engaging classrooms and is well-supported by the teachers and partnerships with parents. Well-being ambassadors and leadership opportunities foster student voice and a culture of respect, all contribute to strong personal well-being.

The principal and school board uphold stringent standards for creating an inclusive school environment. The inclusion team is efficiently supporting students with diverse needs. Identification processes and access to additional assistance are showing notable improvements, with teachers possessing a deep understanding of their students. Parents receive comprehensive updates on their child's progress. The majority of students are performing well, advancing from their initial levels. Lessons are tailored to student needs, though some students require more consistent support.

The school leadership is an effective team, supporting students and developing a growing school. The school’s selfevaluation illustrates that the school knows itself well. Monitoring of teaching is now more effective and focusses on student outcomes. The school is very successful in engaging parents. The governing board makes a significant contribution to the direction and overall performance of the school. The premises are of high quality providing positive learning spaces.
