Students’ achievement
The KG leaders have maintained the children's good attainment in Islamic Education, Arabic and Science. It has improved to good in mathematics. However, their attainment and progress are only acceptable in English. The children’s progress is good across most subjects due to the improving quality of teaching for effective learning across KG1 and KG2. Their learning skills are remaining in good quality as well.
Personal and social development
The children have a very good attitude and they behave well. They have developed strong relationships with each other and show respect to the adults. The children have demonstrated a very strong awareness of the Emirati culture, tradition, and the Islamic values impact of the live in UAE. Their environmental awareness and their participation in the sustainability has improved and it is now very good.
Teaching, curriculum and care
The quality of teaching for effective learning has seen improvement and is now considered good. Activities in most lessons are directed towards enhancing children's knowledge and skills. An assessment system is actively employed by teachers for data collection and analysis in Kindergarten, although the application of this analysis to track progress is variable.
Wellbeing
The governors and leaders adopt a strategic vision with high expectations around well-being development. The learning environment had been extensively enhanced to drive the well-being agenda forward. The strong communication system enables parents share their concerns or suggestions and get the feedback accordingly. The classroom environment and the teaching activities provide a well-being-conducive climate, but it is not consistently offered every day and throughout the day.
Inclusion
The governors and leadership highly promote an inclusion culture in the KG. There is secure understanding of children's barriers to learning. A variety of channels enable systematic communication with parents before, during and after the identification of special educational needs and throughout intervention implementation. The inclusion team provide effective individualised support to children through conducted pull-out sessions in the resource room. A developmental assessment system is emerging to track the progress of children of determination.
Leadership and management
The principal and leaders are dedicated to KG improvement. They are committed to the UAE vision and educational approach. The KG self-evaluation, improvement planning, and its accuracy are still developing. Parents are very supportive and keen to be part of the KG life. The governance is leading the positive care and support to the KG and its community. This includes, but is not limited to, improving KG facilities and technology to support children’s learning.
