Students’ achievement
Students achieve high levels in Islamic education, English, mathematics, and science, particularly in Secondary and Post16. Younger children in the Foundation Stage also make great strides. Arabic as an additional language needs more focus.
Personal and social development
Students stand out for their responsibility, maturity, and active role in learning, with exemplary behaviour and a deep respect for Islamic and Emirati culture. They are environmentally aware and engaged in global societal issues.
Teaching, curriculum and care
Teachers use various methods to engage students, creating positive and interactive learning spaces. However, tailored lesson plans are not consistently applied, and assessment use varies. In early years, assessments are detailed but some learning opportunities are missed.
Wellbeing
The school leadership is dedicated to the well-being of all, with a strong policy in place that's showing results in safeguarding and student support. Parents and students help shape school improvements, backed by two counsellors and medical staff, enhancing care for everyone. Respect and good behaviour are evident school-wide, with a focus on healthy living and positive classroom environments that foster character and citizenship.
Inclusion
The school fosters an inclusive environment with good facilities and a new head of inclusion to oversee policy. It uses various methods to support students with special needs, including personalised plans, but does not always fully support identified students with gifts or talents. Parents are closely involved and can easily communicate with the school. The inclusion team ensures all students participate in activities and develop key skills.
Leadership and management
The school's leadership is committed to improvement, with a focus on early years of learning and a need to boost Arabic learning. Evaluations are thorough but should better reflect data. The board aims to upgrade infrastructure and engage parents more. Facilities are well-run, with potential for further enhancements.
