The table
In 2026–27, 38 schools in Dubai are registered with KHDA as American curriculum schools. Their Grade 4 tuition runs from AED 10,262 to AED 93,300 a year at the 37 schools that publish it, as listed in KHDA's Fees Fact Sheets. Of these, 37 hold a KHDA rating; 24 are Good or better, most from the 2023–24 inspections.
The 38 rows, one per school, run from the lowest Grade 4 fee. The fee is the school's 2026–27 tuition for Grade 4 as published in its KHDA Fees Fact Sheet, after any discount the sheet lists; it is one grade in one year, never an average. Tap a column heading to sort; tap a school for its fees in every grade.

Tuition is the Grade 4 figure on the school's 2026–27 KHDA Fees Fact Sheet, after any discount the sheet lists; where the approved fee is higher, it is shown beneath. Uniforms, transport, books and registration fees are extra.
Of the 38 schools, 37 publish a Grade 4 fee. «Not published» or «Starts at …» means the school's sheet gives no 2026–27 fee for Grade 4; a missing fee does not mean there is no fee for that grade.
The rating is the school's latest overall judgement on KHDA's six-level scale, with the year of the inspection that gave it: 36 of the 37 ratings are from 2023–24; 1 is from 2024–25. New 2026–27 reports are appearing, so a rating can change this year. One school has no rating yet: iCademy Middle East, an online school with no KHDA inspection report yet.
How to read the table
Three things make the columns comparable: the grade is fixed, the rating carries its year, and the list comes from KHDA's register rather than from school names.
Grade 4 is Year 5
American schools in Dubai name their classes Pre-KG, KG1, KG2, then Grade 1 to Grade 12. A British school counts one year higher, so Grade 4 is the same age as Year 5: a child who is nine on 31 December. Every curriculum at this age is on Year 5 / Grade 4 schools in Dubai: fees 2026–27; for an exact date of birth, use Which year group is my child in?
A rating has a year
KHDA rates every private school on one six-level scale, from Outstanding to Very weak. It published few new ratings for established schools after 2023–24, so most ratings in this table date from 2023–24; new 2026–27 reports will replace them one school at a time. What each level means, and how a rating is decided: What KHDA ratings mean.
Registered as American
The 38 rows are the open schools KHDA's Education Directory registers under the American curriculum; closed schools are not listed. On this site, three of them are also listed with a second curriculum: the International Baccalaureate at Collegiate International School and Universal American School, and the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum at Dubai Modern Education School. A school with «American» or «International» in its name but a different registered curriculum is not in this table; search for it on All schools or on the map.
High School Diploma and AP
An American school issues its own High School Diploma on credits earned in Grades 9 to 12; there is no national leaving exam. Advanced Placement (AP) courses add external exams that US universities read for credit and placement.
In the «School information» table of their latest KHDA inspection reports, 23 of the 37 inspected schools list AP among their external examinations. Three also list the IB Diploma: Collegiate International School, Dunecrest American School and GEMS Dubai American Academy, each in its KHDA inspection report for 2023–24. How the four curricula end: Choosing a curriculum in Dubai.
Accreditation is what each school reported at the same inspection, in KHDA's wording (reports 2022–23 to 2024–25): of the 37 inspected schools, 26 list NEASC (2 with CIS as well), Ignite School is a NEASC candidate, 2 list MSA, 3 give «US» without naming a body, 3 list «None» and 2 leave the line blank. A report records what the school stated then. Ask the school for its current accreditation certificate.

The Mirdif page lists no American school: the American schools on the Mirdif side are listed under Al Mizhar and Al Rashidiya, where their buildings are. Each area page lists every school there, whatever its curriculum; the American schools of an area have their own page, such as American schools in Al Barsha.
Families moving from abroad usually choose the home first and the school second, so the search can start from the commute: Schools near where you will live or work.
Other grades
The fee pages list every Dubai school for each grade, with both names for the age: Pre-KG / FS1, KG1 / FS2, KG2 / Year 1, Grade 1 / Year 2, Grade 6 / Year 7, Grade 9 / Year 10, Grade 12 / Year 13. American curriculum schools in Dubai prints the KG2, Grade 6 and Grade 11 ranges for the American schools alone.
Of the 38 schools, 32 run to Grade 12; the other 6 publish no Grade 12 fee for 2026–27, so check with the school which grade is its last this year:
- Bright Learners Private School
- Mirdif American School
- Dubai Schools Al Barsha
- Dubai Schools Al Khawaneej
- Dubai Schools Nad Al Sheba
- Vernus International Primary School
Fees rise with each grade, so check the grade your child will join, not the grade in a headline.
For the whole journey, from the grade your child joins to Grade 12, the cost planner adds up one school's published fees by grade.
