Schools near Meydan and Nad Al Sheba: 13 schools, fees and buses

To a relocating family, «near Meydan» comes down to two questions: which schools are in reach, and whose buses come here. KHDA files the local schools under two areas 4.1 km apart; this guide puts all 13 in one table.

Counts, curricula, ratings and 2026–27 tuition from KHDA, checked 24 September 2026. Bus details from each school's own website, read 22 September 2026.

The two lists · map, KHDA ratings, 2026–27 fees

The two areas are 4.1 km apart. The fee pages give every school's tuition for any year group, after the discount the school lists on its KHDA Fees Fact Sheet.

Two areas, one choice

Every Dubai private school is registered with KHDA under an area name. The schools families mean by «near Meydan» sit under two of them: Meydan City, and Nad Al Sheba, which KHDA spells «Nadd Al Shiba» and splits into First, Third and Fourth for these schools.

This site lists the 8 Nad Al Sheba schools by the part they stand in, Nad Al Sheba 1 to 4, and shows KHDA's name beside a school where the two differ. The table says how the KHDA names split between the two pages.

The two pages and the KHDA area names of their schoolsNad Al Sheba 1 to 4 are one page: Nad Al Sheba 1: 1 school · Nad Al Sheba 2: 1 · Nad Al Sheba 3: 4 · Nad Al Sheba 4: 2

KHDA area names as in KHDA's open data (November 2025); the counts are the two pages' own. A school whose KHDA name differs from the part it sits in shows the KHDA name on its row.

Three schools whose KHDA area differs from their part

American School of Creative Science is Nadd Al Shiba Third to KHDA and stands in Nad Al Sheba 2 on this site. GEMS Modern Academy and Kings School Nad Al Sheba are Nadd Al Shiba First to KHDA and stand in Nad Al Sheba 3.

Each row on the Nad Al Sheba page shows the KHDA name, so search by the school's name or on the map rather than by the KHDA area alone.

Developments are not KHDA areas

Sobha Hartland, District One and Mohammed Bin Rashid City are developers' names, not KHDA areas, so no school is registered under them. If your address is one of these, open the map from either tile above, or Schools near where you will live, and the nearest schools appear by straight-line distance.

All 13 schools: curriculum, KHDA rating and 2026–27 fee

Meydan City has 5 private schools and Nad Al Sheba 8, in two KHDA areas 4.1 km apart. Tuition for the first year of primary in 2026–27 runs from AED 33,161 to AED 104,999 at the 12 schools that publish it. Of the 10 schools KHDA has rated, 9 hold Good or better; 3 have no rating yet.

The table lists each school with its curriculum, its latest KHDA rating and the year of that inspection, and its 2026–27 tuition for one stage: Year 1 at British schools, KG2 at American, IB and Indian ICSE schools, Grande section at the two French schools. That is the first year of primary in each system, the same stage the fee pages use, so the column compares like with like.

Tuition is the school's 2026–27 figure for that year group on its KHDA Fees Fact Sheet, after the discount the sheet lists; where there is a discount, the approved figure is shown beside it. Uniforms, books, transport and exam fees are extra. The rating is the overall judgement of the school's latest KHDA inspection, with its school year.

«No rating yet» means KHDA has not published a full inspection and says nothing about quality.

Rashid and Latifa School's 2026–27 Fees Fact Sheet lists no tuition, so its fee reads «Not published»; ask the school. For an older child: Fees for Year 7 · Fees by year group. Each school's page has its full fee schedule, its inspection reports and its calendar.

What the table shows

  • Fees for this stage range from AED 42,004 to AED 104,999 in Meydan City and from AED 33,161 to AED 68,938 in Nad Al Sheba, where 7 of the 8 schools publish one.
  • Ratings: 2 schools are Outstanding, 5 Very good, 2 Good and 1 Acceptable; 3 have no rating yet. No school here is rated Weak or Very weak.
  • The three without a rating have not yet had a full KHDA inspection: Rugby School in Meydan City, Al Fanar School and Rashid and Latifa School in Nad Al Sheba. The most recent rating is Dubai Schools Nad Al Sheba's, from 2024–25.

British, IB, French, American and Indian curricula here

Of the 13 schools, 7 follow the British curriculum, 4 teach or offer the IB, 2 are French, 2 American and 1 Indian ICSE; Hartland, Repton and GEMS Modern are counted twice because each teaches two. If the curriculum is already decided, this section says which page to open next.

British

Five British-curriculum schools stand in Nad Al Sheba: Al Fanar School, International School of Creative Science Nad Al Sheba, Kings School Nad Al Sheba, Rashid and Latifa School and Repton School, listed with map and fees at British schools in Nad Al Sheba. In Meydan City there are two, Hartland International School and Rugby School.

IB

Four schools teach or offer the IB: North London Collegiate School Middle East as its main curriculum, and Hartland International School, Repton School and GEMS Modern Academy alongside the British or ICSE curriculum. Two sit in each area, so there is no separate area page; the city-wide list is IB schools in Dubai, with every area under «Where they are».

French

Both French schools are in Meydan City: Bilingual French International School and Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé Meydan. Their fee stage in the table is Grande section, the last year of maternelle, which matches Year 1 in age; the two profiles carry the full fee ladders in French year names, and the Meydan City page lists both.

American and Indian

The two American-curriculum schools are in Nad Al Sheba: American School of Creative Science (Nad Al Sheba 2) and Dubai Schools Nad Al Sheba (Nad Al Sheba 4); the city-wide list is American curriculum schools in Dubai. GEMS Modern Academy (Nad Al Sheba 3) is the one Indian school, teaching ICSE and the IB on an April-to-March year.

There is no CBSE school in either area. The nearest are listed by area on CBSE schools in Dubai; Al Warqa, 7.1 km from Nad Al Sheba, has 3 CBSE schools among its 11.

School buses: what the schools themselves publish

Routes are set by each school and its operator, so this page repeats only what a school's own website says, with the page and the date it was read. Of the 13 schools here, 6 say something about transport: Hartland International School publishes its zones and Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé Meydan points to a transport page with its zones, Bilingual French International School names its price, and Rashid and Latifa School says it runs no buses.

The other 7 schools' websites did not describe their buses when we read them on 22 September 2026; some of them do run buses, so ask the school's admissions team.

A second list follows: schools outside the two areas whose transport pages name Meydan or Nad Al Sheba as a stop. Routes and prices change from year to year, so confirm with the school before you sign a tenancy.

The schools here that mention transport

Schools elsewhere whose buses stop here

In other areas, 9 schools name Meydan or Nad Al Sheba on their transport pages. Each card is the school's own statement, read 22 September 2026; a named stop does not mean every street is served, so ask the school for the pick-up point.

What this tells a family choosing where to live

Within the two areas, two schools publish their zones (Hartland on its own page, Lycée Libanais on a linked transport page), one its price and one says it runs no buses; for the rest, ask the school. From outside, 9 schools in Al Safa, Al Warqa, Al Barsha, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Al Mizhar, Muhaisnah, Al Garhoud and Oud Metha name these areas on their transport pages, so a family living here can also look beyond the 13.

Across Dubai, transport fees on 200 schools' Fees Fact Sheets typically run from AED 5,500 to AED 9,225 a year; the few prices named above sit in or just above that range. The city-wide figures are at Other costs.

Next door: Silicon Oasis, Downtown, Al Quoz and the rest

A family on the edge of either area often has a school next door closer than one across Meydan. The hub pages list the areas within 10 km, nearest first, by straight-line distance between the two areas' schools, not a route.

Living nearer Downtown Dubai or Business Bay? Schools near Downtown Dubai lists the schools within 5 km of the middle of Downtown; two of them are Meydan City schools, Hartland International School and North London Collegiate School Middle East. Term dates and applying

Eleven of the 13 schools run the same 2026–27 year on KHDA's published calendars: 31 August 2026 to 2 July 2027, 185 school days. GEMS Modern Academy, the ICSE school, follows the Indian year: 6 April 2026 to 19 March 2027, 182 days. Rashid and Latifa School has no calendar in KHDA's data, so ask the school.

A child moving between an April-start and a September-start school can land in a different year group: check Which year group is my child in? with both dates. Each school's own calendar is on its page; every school's dates are in Dubai school calendar 2026–27, and the city-wide picture is at Calendar.

Admissions work the same way in both areas: the school checks the year group by age, and from Grade 1 / Year 2 by the last school's transfer certificate; most schools then run their own assessment and keep a waiting list. The steps, documents and timing are in Applying to a Dubai school; each school's page here gives its fee schedule and inspection reports.
