How this is worked out
A report counts once under a topic. It counts as praise when its summary says the group is satisfied, and as a concern when it says they are not or want something changed; a sentence that says both counts in both. Which way each sentence points was read by a model from the inspectors' own words; the words themselves are shown on each school's profile. Topics fewer than 20 reports speak of are left out.
Only the 2011–12 to 2014–15 reports printed how many parents answered KHDA's survey. In those, the median school had 26% of parents answer (477 reports over 4 years; 26% in 2011–12, 24% in 2014–15).
